A catalog's sale value is usually its annual net royalties multiplied by a multiple the buyer assumes.
SPACE does not use a fixed multiple. Every catalog is reviewed individually.
How platforms pay
Per-stream rates by platform.
Most platforms do not publish a rate per stream. Spotify says it pays from a revenue pool shared by each rights holder's share of streams (Spotify for Artists). Apple Music has said its average per play was $0.01 for individual paid plans in 2020 (Apple Music for Artists).

Why per-stream rates are misleading.
Most streaming platforms use a pro-rata model: subscriber and ad revenue is pooled and shared by each rights holder's share of streams. Your average per stream changes with your listeners' countries, their subscription plans, and how much total streaming happened that month.
A long ambient or meditation track counts as one stream, the same as a short pop song. That is why annual net income, not a per-stream fraction, is the starting point for what a catalog is worth.
Stop counting streams.
SPACE buys revenue-generating music catalogs across all genres for an upfront payment.
