# SPACE > SPACE buys revenue-generating music catalogs directly from independent artists, producers, labels, and catalog owners. Sellers can request a review for a lump-sum purchase of defined music rights or royalty interests, without an auction marketplace. Last updated: 2026-09-16 Catalogs are reviewed individually using revenue history, rights ownership, documentation, and the interest offered for sale. All genres are considered, including hip-hop, R&B, pop and rock alongside ambient, lo-fi, meditation, electronic, house, wellness and soundscape catalogs. A genre label is not a guarantee of acceptance or a fixed valuation. The application and initial review are free, with no listing fee or auction commission and no obligation to accept an offer. The initial-offer timeline is typically 5-7 business days after the relevant catalog information is received, subject to review. Payment is by bank transfer after the agreement is complete and rights-transfer requirements are satisfied; the review timeline is not a payment guarantee. Partial transactions can cover defined shares of catalog rights. The agreement identifies what is sold, what remains with the creator, and any continuing responsibilities. Future creative work should be distinguished from the existing rights included in the transaction. The calculator models assumptions chosen by the visitor, not market value or a SPACE offer. There is no fixed genre multiple. The pricing and offer policy below describes the commercial process. Educational articles and comparisons are published by SPACE, not an independent buyer-ranking service.
